Within a school, there are two types of staff – teaching and non-teaching staff.
Teaching Staff – staff members whose profession is teaching within the classroom or on a one-on-one basis. Teaching staff also include Heads of School, Deputy Principals and Senior Teachers, who may also undertake administrative duties.
Non-teaching staff – staff members who supports the school on an operational level. Non-teaching staff include specialist support staff such as counsellors, teachers’ aides and assistants, qualified professionals in administration and accounting, building operations, general maintenance and other service staff.
