The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is the primary measure for entry into most undergraduate-entry university courses in Australia. The single school is accumulated on the sum of the four best subjects completed by a student in Year 12 which has added to it, 10% of the sum of the weakest two subjects (for a total of 6 subjects).
Introduced in 2009 and 2010, an ATAR replaces a number of university rankings to provide a consistnet measure across all states. Queensland is the exception, still using the Overall Position system.
